The engobe around this dark clay was filled with many different elements, amongst other gathered and dried fruit seeds, grains, quartz sand, glass and bricks splitters, cobalt oxide to taint it and some drops of glaze. The inside is a mix of glazes with certain parts unglazed.
It could be used as a salad bowl or as a pedestal for small treasured objects.
 
Stoneware, textured engobe, partially glazed and then burnt at 1230°C.
